1 T. olive oil
1 c. uncooked brown rice
4-5 garlic cloves, minced
3/4 c. water
2 c. chicken broth
1/4 t. salt
1/8 c. thinly sliced green onions (optional)
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add rice, and saute one minute. Add garlic and saute 2 minutes. Stir in water, broth, and salt. Bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and cook over medium low heat until liquid is absorbed. (About 30 minutes?) Fluff with a fork and top with green onions. 4-5 servings.

yum, can't wait to try, and I want a garlic peeler. Never heard of such...or seen one. I LOVE garlic and cook with it ALL the time. Tonight, I was throwing together a quick pasta and the longest part of the prep/cooking was peeling the garlic...cause I always use more than you're supposed to. Thanks for all the tips and recipes. love them!
ReplyDeleteI always put way more garlic than is called for too, Brandy! : ) It can take forever to peel it, and your fingers never stop smelling like garlic if you use it every day! Hopefully someone can send this to you in a package soon!
