Buffalo Chicken Strips

This is a quick and simple dinner that hits the spot when you want American food, and you can get it all here! This is all you need for the sauce!

Buffalo Chicken Strips

2-3 T. melted butter
2 T. ketchup
3-4 T. hot sauce or Tabasco
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 t. salt
3/4 t. pepper
2 eggs
2 T. water
1/2 kg. chicken breast, cut into strips

1. Melt the butter in a small sauce pan. Remove from the heat and add the ketchup and hot sauce, depending on how hot you want it. I have used the American Garden brand hot sauce, and Tabasco, we like Tabasco better.

2. Measure the flour, salt, and pepper into a large bowl and stir to combine.

3. Beat the eggs lightly with the water in another bowl.

4. Dip the chicken pieces in the flour, then submerge them in the egg, then back in the flour. Drop them in hot oil (about 375 degrees is ideal)for 5-6 minutes or until they're starting to brown. Then you'll have this:
Next, put the sauce into a plastic ziploc bag, and place the chicken pieces in there as well. (I always only do 2/3 of the chicken for us in the sauce, and give the rest without sauce to the kids). Gently shake and toss to coat the chicken with the sauce. Now you can use the chicken however you want... to dip in ranch dressing... on a salad... on a sandwich...
Yum. :)
